I wanna be like Mike
It’s hard not to be inspired by Michael Phelps. Dude has six golds already and spends most of his day either swimming or eating. Sounds like my regular routine, you know, except for the swimming part. Well, that’s not entirely true anymore. In an attempt to add some cross-training to my running, I’ve been swimming a bit lately. Nowhere near 7 hours a day, but swimming laps when I get the chance. Of course it’s an excellent workout, but it’s fun and relaxing, too. Something about those lane markers makes it seem like you’re in your own little world. And as triathlete Amy Moritz says, sometimes that’s a good thing.
Also, I’m in the midst of the 100-pushup challenge, a six-week program aimed at increasing your strength. At the end of the program you should be able to do 100 consecutive pushups, which is great if you ever plan on ….I don’t know, just trying to do 100 pushups, I guess.
